I live in a small community of about 300 people. This nice Hamilton, KS community
is hugging the Flint Hills of Kansas. It may not be a place of luxury, but a place
full of beauty in nature. Most shots you see from photographers are from great mountain
heights or right by the sea shore. The Flint Hills has just as much magnificence
as those locations, with the rolling hills, wildlife, and wide open ranges of lushes
grass. If your wanting to get away from it all, this is the place to come.
I have lived in Hamilton all my life, and have truly enjoyed it. I am a Junior
at Hamilton High School. At school I am able to get one on one help with teachers
since we only have approximately 100 students in high school and elementary. Hopefully
our school will not close, but with the low number of students, it is hard to tell.
About two years ago (2008-2009) I got into the photography bug, and have been
learning more and more every day. The summer of 2010 has been a great learning experience
by reading photography magazines (Outdoor Photographer & Popular Photography) and
books (The Digital Photography Book Series). I have been shooting with a Fujifilm
Finepix S7000, but until August 2010 I bought a new Nikon D90 with a 18-270mm VC
Tamron lens. My Fujifilm was a great starter camera, and it taught me the general
ropes. It was just time to upgrade. The Nikon D90 is a great camera, and has already
given me more opportunities to create a better photo. Even though it is not a Full
Frame DSLR, it has a bigger sensor in it than the Fujifilm. When blowing up photos,
it is much clearer.
Other than cameras, my life is a good one with great friends and family. God
has blessed me more than I deserve. If you want to know anything else, or would
